There should've been another townie scene with a big bonfire. It was April's idea and Luke built it. She said it would help get rid of the stink, like when you light a match in the bathroom. They were making s'mores and April was making her's with oreo cookies -- she called them s'moreos. She gave one to Luke to taste. Luke was to see Chris's Volvo driving in town and recognize Chris and then see Lorelai. He was lost in thought so April had to shake him to get his attention and taste the s'moreo. It would've been cute because she called him dad.
